The Opportunity
As a Data Engineer, you will join one of the data product teams and contribute to the development and evolution of a modern enterprise data platform.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and fellow engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and value-driven data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data pipelines and integration solutions
- Build and maintain efficient data storage structures
- Create performant datasets and materialised views
- Develop data exchange interfaces and APIs
- Contribute to data governance initiatives, including:
- Data Quality
- Data Lineage
- Data Modelling
- Business Glossaries
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions
- Apply testing best practices and support DevOps-driven delivery
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation
Required Experience
You have at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a minimum of two of the following areas:
Data Engineering & Integration
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Functions
- Azure Stream Analytics / Log Analytics
- Azure DevOps
Data Processing & Development
- Python development within a Databricks environment
- Building and maintaining data pipelines
- Data transformation and enrichment processes
Additional Technologies
Experience with, or willingness to learn, technologies such as:
- Redis
- RabbitMQ
- Neo4j
- Apache Arrow
- Other modern data platform technologies
