Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a highly skilled infrastructure team.
The organization manages complex IT and operational technology (OT) environments and is actively investing in network modernization, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity, and automation initiatives.
Assignment Context
The network team is responsible for the design, security, operation, and evolution of the company’s networking infrastructure across office, industrial, and data center environments.
Current and upcoming initiatives include:
- New data center connectivity projects
- Cloud networking and security integrations
- WAN modernization programs
- Support for business and application-driven network requirements
- Network automation and operational improvements
The team supports operations across several European locations and works closely with other IT domains.
Location & Duration
- Region: Brussels
- Start date: ASAP
- Full-time onsite during the first 3 months
- Hybrid work model afterwards:
- 3 days onsite
- 2 days remote (subject to operational requirements)
Responsibilities
- Support business-critical operations within a 24/7 environment
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure across IT and OT environments
- Prepare, execute, and document infrastructure changes
- Deploy and support network solutions and services
- Provide support to teams across Belgium and other European locations
- Participate in infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with other ICT teams
Must-Have Requirements
Languages
- Dutch or French (mandatory)
- Fluent English

- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Available to travel to Belgian locations when required
- Educational background in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Willing to participate in an on-call rotation (maximum 1 week in 4)
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of firewall technologies
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including:
- OSPF
- ISIS
- MP-BGP
- MST
- Experience with cloud networking technologies
- Experience with Cisco Wireless solutions
- Experience with automation using Python and/or Ansible
- Familiarity with monitoring, NAC, logging, and network management platforms
- Knowledge of TACACS and RADIUS servers
Nice-to-Have
- Cisco ACI experience
- Cisco SD-WAN experience
- Experience in industrial, utility, or critical infrastructure environments

The successful candidate will work across the full network stack, from LAN and WAN environments to data center and cloud infrastructures.
