Our client is looking for a Senior Capacity Calculation Engineer – CORE Region
Location: CORE Region (Central Europe)
Context: We are seeking a senior engineer specializing in capacity calculation for interconnected electrical networks in the CORE region of Europe. This region integrates several European countries to manage and optimize energy exchanges across interconnected grids. If you have advanced technical expertise and experience in capacity calculation for complex electrical networks, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Capacity Calculation: Perform capacity calculations to assess the ability of electrical networks to transport energy based on demand and available infrastructure.
- Network Simulation: Use simulation tools to assess and optimize the capacities of interconnected electrical networks in a complex European environment.
- Interconnection Analysis: Analyze the interactions between different European electrical grids and their impact on energy transport capacities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical and architecture teams to ensure a cohesive approach in calculating the capacity of interconnected networks.
- Architectural Modelling: Apply enterprise architecture concepts (capacity models) to better understand and optimize processes related to network capacity management.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Education: Degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Solid experience in capacity calculation for interconnected electrical networks or similar systems. Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in capacity calculation for interconnected electrical grids.
- Proficiency in using simulation tools to assess network capacity.
- Strong understanding of European electrical network architectures and the integration of systems within the CORE region.
- Modelling Skills: Experience with architectural concepts such as capability models (ProLaborate, EA plugin) is a plus.
- Languages: A good level of English is required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex systems and draw relevant technical conclusions.
- Profile Sought: We are looking for a senior profile with in-depth experience in the technical domain of interconnected electrical networks. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in capacity calculation, combined with an understanding of the challenges of optimizing energy exchanges in a European regional context. This position is more focused on technical and analytical skills rather than product management or project management.
