Our client is looking for an Implementation Manager.
Within the NetOp department, the RCCs play a crucial role in efficiently managing and operating the regional electricity grid. RCC dispatchers continuously monitor the grid’s status to ensure stable and reliable operations. They are responsible for incident management and operational coordination with both internal and external stakeholders. RCCs also optimize grid performance through real-time adjustments and strategic interventions based on current and forecasted conditions.
The Implementation Manager will support the reorganization of the RCC team and the rollout of new tools to enhance regional grid management. This includes acquiring in-depth operational knowledge of new and existing products and processes, ensuring smooth operations, and identifying areas for improvement.
The mission specifically focuses on implementing new processes and tools related to long/short-term outage planning and congestion management (iCAROS / GuFlex), enabling RCC teams to adopt ‘Day Ahead’ and ‘Close to Realtime’ processes similar to those used by the National Control Centre (NCC).
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of outage coordination, congestion management, and operational security processes and tools used at NCC, and adapt them for RCC.
- Develop expertise in subprocesses such as congestion management, security analysis, and tool modifications required for RCC.
- Align RCC operations with ‘Day Ahead’ and ‘Close to Realtime’ process objectives and identify necessary tool and procedure extensions.
- Ensure solutions meet internal and external customer needs and align with overall processes.
- Lead change management efforts: gather operator feedback, develop training, support adoption, and translate needs into tool development.
- Create documentation and procedures.
- Validate RCC business requirements, lead business testing of new tools, develop test scenarios, and document testing processes.
- Collaborate with other implementation managers (NCC, customer, Market Ops), business analysts, IT teams, the program manager, and other stakeholders.
- Support PMO-related tasks to ensure alignment with project management standards and best practices.
- Occasionally take on operational tasks requiring specific expertise developed during the project or change process.
Expected Activities
- Deeply understand RCC and NetOp processes.
- Familiarize with NCC tools and end-to-end business processes.
- Follow NCC-led implementations of iCAROS and GuFlex to understand technical and practical aspects.
- Perform gap analysis between RCC and NCC processes.
- Lead iCAROS and GuFlex implementation for RCC.
- Prepare and support the new Day Ahead/Intra Day dispatcher role.
- Act as guardian of project methodologies.
- Maintain the roadmap, monitor risks and milestones, and challenge planning.
- Create presentations and support roadmap development for specific initiatives.
- Support change management activities.
- Train RCC dispatchers on their new role and tool usage.
Profile Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering/science or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience (e.g., implementing complex processes in IT tools, product ownership, or operational change management).
- Excellent command of English and Dutch and/or French.
- Strong willingness to develop deep expertise in the energy sector and market mechanisms.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop pragmatic short- and long-term solutions.
- Strong communication skills, able to tailor messages to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Knowledge of Python, VBA in Excel, PowerApps, and/or Power BI is a plus.
