Our client is looking for a Functional Analyst
Context
The Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department supports all of the company's business activities. Through innovative projects, it ensures that the company has an autonomous IT system in line with changing needs and technologies. Within the DBS department, the Solution Analyst will be part of the Data Acquisition (DAQ) team within the Market & Metering Unit. The DAQ team makes changes to existing applications or develops new solutions that meet the needs of their internal customers, to support their business processes, optimize their working methods or improve the user experience. The DAQ team consists of a dozen professionals who work on configuration, parameterization and development of applications to support meter data reading. The team consists of project managers and functional analysts.
Our “Market & Metering” unit is growing rapidly as a result of the creation of a federal platform for the management of exchanges with the market, the introduction of new types of smart meters, the integration of local production (e.g. photovoltaic panels) and the introduction of the electric car into the market model. Also implementation of new the new platform used by meter readers to record analog meters in Brussels, both for gas and electricity is ongoing.
To meet these new challenges, we are looking for a Solution Analyst in the field of data acquisition who can strengthen our team in the context of the ongoing projects that focus on the current tools
- Meter Data Management (MDM – EnergyIP) will be the primary application the analyst will work with. In-depth knowledge of this system is essential.
- Improvements for 'Head End System' HES – Converge’
- Replacement new platform used by meter readers to record analog meters in Brussels, both for gas and electricity
Description
As a Functional Analyst, you will take on the following responsibilities:
- You will meanly work into the team that support the MDM system.
- You are responsible for the analysis of the business requirements. You will lead discussions and organize workshops to identify possible solutions and reach a consensus if necessary.
- You determine the possible solutions in line with the IT architecture. In doing so, you take into account the E2E application and technology chain. You validate those solutions with the business.
- You analyze, check and validate the deliverables of our partners.
- You follow up on the deliverables from the requirements to the commissioning.
- You will answer functional questions during the development phase.
- You will assist in the documentation and execution of test; You will coordinate and assist in the execution of User Acceptance tests with the business.
- You are responsible for evaluating, analyzing and documenting the identified bugs. You guarantee the follow-up of the solution in the context of the tests that fall under your competence, as well as the Business Acceptance tests.
- You ensure the coherence between the business requirements and the final solution.
- You challenge the solutions proposed by the suppliers.
- You will acquire the functional knowledge of the applications to act as a functional point of reference within the company.
- You keep the functional reference documentation of the applications for which you are responsible up-to-date.
- You contribute to managing changes in the business so that it is willing to welcome the new solution
- You help solve the incidents/problems as a second line of support
