Our client is looking for a SAP Solution Architect
As a member of the Digital Division (Division D), the Solution Architect will:
- Support the OneSAP+ product clusters in defining architectures that are feasible for implementation by various product teams.
- Assist in documenting both the current and future SAP landscape in a consistent manner, aligned with Business, Domain, and other Solution Architects.
- Advise other architecture disciplines in evaluating whether SAP is the appropriate solution (Architecture Trade-off).
- Analyze and adopt constraints, as well as functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform decomposition of business capabilities into relevant Solution Building Blocks using recommended architectural styles and patterns, based on Reference Architectures.
- Act as a key liaison aligning stakeholders across the Product Organization, Architecture team, and delivery teams.
- Deliver Architecture Designs in accordance with Elia Group’s standards and guidelines.
- Provide designs leveraging experience in integration design, application architecture, and available tools.
- Follow governance structures (e.g., Design Boards) during the design lifecycle for decision-making, using techniques such as ADR (Architecture Decision Records), ATAM (Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method).
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Solution Architecture.
- Proficient in IT standards such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM, and CBAM.
- Familiarity with architecture modeling languages like ArchiMate; experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a strong plus.
- At least 6 years of experience with at least two of the following SAP technologies:
- SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and its service portfolio.
- SAP Integration Technologies, including protocols and integration styles (process, data, event-based).
- Foundational knowledge of SAP’s Line-of-Business (LOB) product offerings and how to best utilize them.
- Foundational understanding of SAP development technologies and frameworks (not for development, but for informed decision-making).
Certifications (Preferred):
- SAP Enterprise Architect
- SAP BTP Solution Architect
Personal Attributes:

- Able to work independently and take initiative in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

- Agile mindset; experience in Agile environments is a plus.

Language Skills:
- Mandatory: Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written). All supplier/procurement documentation and external meetings are conducted in English.
- Valuable Additions:
- Knowledge of French, Dutch, and especially German is a strong asset.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and either French or Dutch.
