Our client is looking for a Senior PostgreSQL DBA
About Us:

Your Role:
As a Senior PostgreSQL DBA, you will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and evolving our fleet of 800 PostgreSQL databases (versions 13 and 16). You will actively contribute to performance, security, and availability, while also participating in technology watch. After an adaptation period, you will also join the 24/7 on-call rotation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in daily operational tasks related to PostgreSQL database management (versions 13 and 16).
- Administer, secure, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
- Design and maintain robust, high-performance, and resilient environments.
- Manage backups, restores, and replications.
- Diagnose incidents and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Document procedures and contribute to their continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with technological developments.
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation once fully integrated into the team.
Profile Sought:
- You have been a Database Administrator for at least 10 years.
- Proven experience in PostgreSQL administration (minimum 7 years), ideally in a critical production environment.
- Strong command of concepts such as tuning, indexing, partitioning, extensions, replication, and security.
- Good knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
- Rigor, organization, service-oriented mindset, and a taste for teamwork.
- Technical curiosity, autonomy, and the ability to think long-term.
- Knowledge of logical replication, containerization, Ansible, CI/CD tools, or automation is a plus, but not required.
