UI Designer (Senior)

Our client is looking for a UI Designer.

As a Senior UI Designer, you will play a key role in Elia Group’s digital transformation by contributing to the redesign of its websites. You will lead complex design projects, shape design strategy, and enhance the design system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Execution

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs using Figma.
  • Define interaction models and evaluate their success with measurable criteria.
  • Develop storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.

  • Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with UX researchers, Product Owners, UX Designers, and Developers.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Animate ideation workshops and co-design sessions with business and users.

  • Design System Contribution

  • Enrich and maintain the Elia Group design system.
  • Review and validate new components.
  • Challenge and improve peer designs.

  • Team Engagement

  • Participate in UX Chapter activities (e.g., feedback and knowledge sharing).
  • Write documentation, processes, and presentations.

    Requirements

    Experience & Skills

    • 7+ years in UI Design, Interaction Design, and Information Architecture in Agile environments.
    • Strong grasp of UI patterns, design principles, and visual design.
    • High attention to detail and quality.
    • Proficient in Figma and Miro.
    • Experience using and contributing to a design system.
    • Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Natural empathy for users.
    • Passion for Information Technologies.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

    Portfolio

    • A compelling portfolio showcasing design projects, problem-solving, and design process.
    • Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

    Bonus Points

    • Experience with SiteCore XM Cloud projects.
    • Multilingual: Fluent in English; German, French, or Dutch are a plus.
    • Pragmatic, proactive, and constructive mindset.
    • Autonomous and resilient.
