Our client is looking for a medior Business Tester
Mission
Our client plays a key role in the realisation of the energy transition. Decarbonisation, decentralisation, internationalisation, and digitalisation are pushing for a rapid transformation. As a result, several business transformation projects are ongoing, with more planned in the near future.
Most of these projects include a significant digital component, requiring robust testing to ensure the quality of the supporting tools. Given the shift towards agile working, test automation is becoming increasingly important to support regression testing across multiple releases.
Service Expectations
The service includes the following tasks:
- Define the test plan: review business requirements, clarify content with the business analyst if needed, and write the test plan
- Elaborate test scenarios: detail the test scenarios and test cases based on the test plan and business requirements
- Prepare test data: ensure required test environments are available and contain synchronised datasets; request data refreshes or create artificial test data if needed
- Execute tests: execute test cases and document results
- Follow-up defects: log defects and monitor their resolution
- Test automation: implement the relevant set of automated test cases after each release
Required Competences
- Master's degree in a technical or economic field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in test preparation and execution of functional and E2E tests
- Proven experience in defining test plans and elaborating test scenarios
- Experience with automated testing is a strong asset
- Ability to read process flows and class diagrams
- Knowledge of BPMN and UML
- Familiarity with Jira and Enterprise Architect (Sparx) is a plus
- Experience in the energy sector or within an infrastructure engineering & construction environment is a plus
- Hands-on, with strong analytical skills and the ability to challenge others
- Able to work independently and in team, with good organizational and planning skills
Languages
- Fluent in English
- Understanding of Dutch and French preferred
- Speaking both Dutch and French is a strong advantage
