Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performing network and security infrastructure within our organization. You combine deep technical expertise with a proactive, hands-on mentality and a strong focus on Fortinet solutions.
You actively participate in network projects and take ownership of the technical execution. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty: from configuring routers, switches, and FortiGate firewalls to physically installing network equipment and preparing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage, optimize, and secure the network and firewall infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Fortinet products (such as FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
- Perform technical analyses, troubleshooting, and root cause analyses in the event of network incidents.
- Actively participate in network projects, from design to implementation.
- Carry out physical network tasks such as cabling, installation, and maintenance of network equipment.
- Document configurations, procedures, and network architecture.
Profile
- 5 to 10 years of experience in network management, with proven expertise in Fortinet technologies.
- Certification in FCP-NS and/or FCSS-NS is a strong asset.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, VPN, and network security.
- Experience with hands-on installation and maintenance of network hardware.
- Independent, solution-oriented, and precise in your work.
- French or Dutch speaking.
