Our client is looking for a Solution Analyst. The Solution Analyst (SA) is responsible for analyzing and translating both functional and non-functional requirements into functional/technical designs. This includes considering the existing architecture, ongoing projects, and technical constraints. The SA also implements and maintains specific applications/configurations and provides end-user support within their scope.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Requirements
- Review high-level business requirements.
- Critically evaluate and prioritize requirements (validate MVP).
- Define and check project scope.
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed user stories.
- Ensure understanding of detailed requirements by relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct impact and root cause analysis to inform solution design.
- Propose alternative solutions when necessary.
2. Functional Analysis
- Gather relevant functional and technical information (often undocumented).
- Quickly assimilate necessary knowledge for analysis.
- Collaborate with business representatives for system analysis.
- Organize review cycles with stakeholders.
- Ensure quality of the functional phase (impact/gap analysis).
- Document functional analysis outcomes thoroughly.
3. Technical Design
- Perform technical system analysis.
- Validate that technical analysis meets functional requirements.
- Ensure quality and manageability of the technical phase.
- Organize review cycles if needed.
- Adjust system parameters/configurations (e.g., database tarifications).
4. Compliance with Standards
- Adhere to company standards.
- Monitor and ensure uniform application development practices.
5. Project Follow-Up
- Estimate workload for Functional/Technical Analysis and Testing phases.
- Lead daily meetings during sprints; substitute for Scrum Master when needed.
- Support project management and planning (priority, budget, deadlines).
- Participate in all project phases, especially testing (System Testing, UAT).
- Collaborate closely with Project Manager, Scrum Master, and Test Coordinator.
Language Requirements
- Dutch / French: Native proficiency in one, good knowledge of the other.
- English: Good working knowledge.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years in a similar functional/technical role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Non-Life / Claims products.
- Experience in Mainframe / CICS environments.
- Broad insurance domain knowledge.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architect & Jira.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities.
- Agile, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
- Accurate and stress-resistant.
- Assertive and experienced with SCRUM methodology.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with commercial front-end applications.
- Guidewire knowledge (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Product, Portals, Batches, Integration).
