Our client is looking for a Cobol Developer.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain existing applications and develop new ones
- Translate functional analyses into technical specifications in collaboration with colleagues
- Develop applications using Cobol
- Perform unit testing, create test plans in Azure DevOps, and conduct integration and user testing to ensure quality and compliance
- Support clients during validation testing
- Document all development work
- Communicate with clients regarding execution and implementation of requested developments
- Share knowledge, experience, and documentation with team members
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT
- Excellent knowledge of Cobol and SQL
- Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server)
- Proven experience as an IT trainer (minimum 10 years), especially in mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, C++, C# (.NET Framework), Git, Matlab, TopKapi, and Ecodial
- Certifications in Mainframe App Programming and C#
