Our client is looking for: Expert Java with knowledge of microservices architecture
Description
For various projects within the Signalling Design Platform cell, our client's ICT is looking for an expert Java developer who can make architectural decisions from the perspective of microservices. This developer will work partly as a Java developer on a Java Desktop application that will be rewritten into microservices, and partly within a team that is preparing the architecture of the application for its rewrite into microservices and implementing tools for the developers of the team (monitoring dashboard, etc.).
In a second phase, the expert developer may work on the future application rewritten in microservices or on other applications within the cell. This experienced developer will work in an Agile team and adopt an innovative approach with respect for cybersecurity. Proactive and autonomous work on challenging projects is an important part of the role. Moreover, it is essential that they have a user vision, as they will collaborate with business teams.
The ideal candidate is an expert Java developer, active within an Agile/Scrum team, with knowledge of architecture, who is proactive and autonomous, and has a strong interest in business with a user vision, as well as the ability to explain their vision to colleagues
Technical skills
- Proficiency in French and/or Dutch (C1: complex mastery)
- Proficiency in English (C1: complex mastery)
- Experience in Java (L4: at least 10 years)
- Experience with Java 17 to 21 (L1: at least some experience)
- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL and/or MariaDB) (L3: at least 5 years)
- Experience with SpringBoot and SpringData (L2: at least 2 years)
- Experience with JPA, Hibernate (L2: at least 2 years)
- Experience with unit testing (JUnit and/or Mockito) (L2: at least 2 years)
- Experience with OpenShift and/or Docker and/or Podman and/or Kubernetes (L1: at least some experience)
- Experience in microservices architecture and web services (REST API, JSON,…) (L2: at least 2 years)
- Experience with Maven (L3: at least 5 years)
- Knowledge of Design Patterns (level: n/a)
- Experience with Git, GitLab, SonarQube (L2: at least 2 years)
