Context of the Mission / Objective(s) of the Job
The Information Systems (IS) Life division is responsible for delivering and maintaining systems and applications that support the life business division within the company. They are looking for a hands-on functional analyst with strong collaborative skills suited to various stakeholders (Business/IS/Testing team).
More precisely:
- IS Life – Domain ELIA: Responsible for applications related to subscribing new contracts and initiating modifications on existing contracts.
- Domain LISA: Manages the complete contract portfolio, including tariffs, management acts, fund and reserve calculations, daily Money-in (premiums), and Money-out (claims & settlements).
Back-end applications are developed using Cobol under Micro Focus / SQL databases, involving interaction with various technologies and teams (Front-end, printing, communication components).
The role includes:
- Receiving high-level functional requirements to set up robust IT applications.
- Analysing and designing IT solutions (user interface, business logic, database architecture).
- Following up on implementation and participating in testing.
- Working autonomously and interacting directly with the IS Project Manager to agree on scope and milestones.
- Reporting progress to IS stakeholders.
- Reviewing code and generating SQL on demand.
Proven experience required: Functional analysis, user interface design, and testing in an Insurance IT environment.
The candidate will work in a dynamic and innovative context, potentially on up to three projects simultaneously. Strong organisational skills are essential. The team is young and fast-growing, offering opportunities to shape solutions.

- Master or Engineer in IT or a scientific domain with IT interest
- Bachelor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical analysis

- Application development of administrative systems in an IT department
- Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people
- Mastery of MS Office tools
- Strong understanding of Cobol Micro Focus source code and SQL Server
Preferable:
- Web-based client/server systems with MF back-end (Cobol Micro Focus / SQL Server)

Objective of the Job
Main Objectives:
- Translate business requirements into structured IT solutions with a functional approach
- Assist in translating functional design into technical design
- Prepare functional integration test cases based on requirements
- Test the product before delivery to users
- Analyse potential corrective actions
- Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation
- Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution meets their needs
- Actively support project leaders during implementation
