Context
Strategic initiative on long-term portfolio steering (LT steering)
In the context of increasing uncertainty about the future energy landscape ETB is faced with societal and industrial evolutions and political decisions that have a growing impact on the way the grid should or can be developed. In order to continue to weigh on the public debate, to facilitate internal decision making and to support the discussion with the Belgian authorities, ETB should be able to quickly assess the long-term impact of social and internal choices on the entire grid infrastructure investment portfolio.
This ever-changing context requires a transversal management of the diverging future scenarios and corporate risk management policies with a prompt translation into the resulting resource needs (people, equipment & €) and the risk exposure for the entire portfolio over a 15-year horizon, however not necessarily down to the level of the individual projects.
With this strategic initiative on LT steering ETB will acquire a better understanding of the different future scenarios, the risk policy options and how to make a trade-off against the necessary resources. This understanding will support the establishment of long-term strategies for hiring and organization, supply chain management and capital management.
Service description:
We are currently looking for a data analyst and program management officer (PMO) to support the Tier1 Program on LT Steering.
Activities that fall into the responsibilities of the data analyst/PMO or where support is expected:
- Steering committee preparation & afterwork
- Provide support to projects / streams with data analysis and data processing
- Develop a good understanding of the projects / streams in the program and help identifying interdependencies.
- Follow-up & challenge of risks and issues in the streams and cross streams
- Follow-up and support of people impact analysis, the change and communication plan of the projects / streams and on the program level
- Follow-up & challenge of milestone planning/deliverables
- Being able to support the development of roadmaps for specific topics.
Requirements:
- From 3 to 5y experience of (strategic) business projects/programs
- Good knowledge of Excel and familiar with scripts for data processing (in R or other language)
- Analytical
- Hands-on
- Speaks and writes fluently in Dutch or French and in English.
- Autonomous and capable of managing his own agenda to achieve the program deadlines.
- Attention for details
- Pro-active
- Ideally Knowledge of the energy sector or portfolio management
- Practices good relationship management, from executive sponsorship to project management
