The Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department supports all of the company's business activities. It ensures that it is equipped with autonomous computing, as its needs and technologies evolve.
Within the DBS department, the IT Production department is responsible for managing the infrastructure and operating the systems and applications that support the information system.
The “IT Exploitation” team is part of the IT Production department and focuses on the technical layer of applications. The SAP platform supports key business activities, therefore it is indispensable and occupies an important place in the application portfolio (enterprise application configuration and development projects in SAP ECC/ISU and SAP HR). IT Exploitation collaborates on projects related to the design of the technical configuration of applications. IT Exploitation deploys Releases & Changes in successive environments up to the production level. IT Exploitation is also responsible for the proper functioning of business applications, the operation of the production plan, technical maintenance, monitoring and reporting of the availability and performance of application components as well as integrations. between these.
IT Exploitation provides standard services and supports events and incidents. IT Exploitation founds solutions to problems and makes improvements.

Within the IT Exploitation team, we are looking for an expert and external collaborator to help support and administer our SAP solution.
As a System Engineer you will be part of the IT Exploitation team that is responsible for SAP Basis Components (SAP BC) and their operations.

Responsibilities

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for the tasks below:

• Design, build, configure and test configurations and parameterizations for SAP applications
• Participate in project meetings and provide support
• Analyze project needs and propose solutions to meet them
• Implement SAP System Refreshes, System Copies, Client Copies, Exports/Imports
• Install and configure SAP systems and/or additional components and plug-ins
• Configure integrations based on IDOC and/or Web Services, Interface Monitoring
• Configure Batch Jobs, Housekeeping Jobs, Backups & Restores, High-Availability Setups
• Start and monitor the archiving of technical objects and temporary data
• Update technical components according to the support deadline
• Configure Solution Manager for centralized management of the SAP environment
• Perform root cause analyzes in case of technical issues and/or performance issues
• Start Tracking & Tracing as part of a search for errors or improvements
• Provide support to projects regarding SAP Basis configuration and best practices
• Document configuration changes and instructions for their operation
• Configure Logging, Log Management and Operational Monitoring of applications and systems
• Configure Application Monitoring according to exceptions and technical alerts
• Continuously train operators in operation, monitoring, problem solving and optimization
• Deploy new versions of applications and provide support to project teams and users
• Report on the status of work in progress, documenting and reporting events
• Participate in and execute operational testing of applications and integrations
• Provide technical administration and perform maintenance activities throughout the life cycle of the application
• Participate in 2nd line support processes in terms of IT Event & Incident Management
• Participate in IT Problem Management and change assessment support processes
• Follow IT standards, developments and innovations in the field of SAP application technology
• Share knowledge and experiences with other workers in an open and transparent manner
