Our client is undergoing a significant digital transformation. The Digital Portfolio Management team plays a central role in steering this transformation, managing a hybrid portfolio of digital products and projects across both organizations. We are seeking an experienced external consultant to support our Digital Portfolio Management team in both operational execution and strategic steering of the portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex, multi-entity digital portfolios and driving transformation in a hybrid (project/product) environment.
1. Operational Portfolio Management
- Support the execution of portfolio governance processes
- yearly business plan / arbitrage process: collect information, assess NPV calculations, prepare arbitrage decisions for management in close collaboration with Strategy and Controlling
- quarterly portfolio steering process by preparing and evolving the input formats, collecting information and ensure information quality of the projects and products in the portfolio
- Maintain and improve portfolio tooling and reporting structures
- Track and report on program roadmaps, milestones, and KPIs
- Ensure alignment with delivery teams and local portfolio leads in Belgium and Germany
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on portfolio data and trends
- Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization of portfolio processes
2. Strategic Portfolio Steering
- Support the implementation and tracking of the digital transformation roadmap
- Drive the development of capability-based portfolio steering
- Ensure alignment between portfolio initiatives and Elia Group’s strategic objectives
- Facilitate cross-entity collaboration and stakeholder alignment
- Contribute to the evolution of portfolio management practices toward a platform- and cloud-based digital delivery model
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines while assuring high quality and accuracy
- Hands-on-mentality
- Curious, analytical, accurate, pro-active and result driven
- Proven experience in digital portfolio management within complex, multinational environments
- Strong understanding of hybrid delivery models (projects and products)
- Familiarity with digital transformation programs and capability-based planning
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across diverse organizational cultures
- Experience with portfolio management tools and methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, OKRs)
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively with different cultures and diverse teams
- Fluent in English and French/Dutch; language skills in German are a plus
- Willingness to travel depending on business needs, mainly to Berlin.
