Our client is looking for: Expert Test Engineer
Description
As part of several projects within the Signalling Design Platform unit related to ETCS (European Train Control System), the company's ICT is looking for a certified ISTQB test engineer with knowledge of quality standards. This test engineer will be part of a small Agile team consisting of several testers and will actively participate in both manual and automated testing of projects developed in Java. He/she will adopt an innovative approach and ensure compliance with cybersecurity principles and ICT standards. The ability to work proactively and independently on challenging projects is an essential part of the role. The test engineer will also contribute to the business objectives of the projects, which requires a strong user orientation and close collaboration with business teams. The projects involved are subject to various standards (quality: ISO 9001, signalling: EN 50.128, security: ISO 27001 – NIS). Therefore, it is crucial that the candidate works meticulously and dedicates sufficient time to documentation to ensure follow-up and compliance with these standards. The ideal candidate is an expert test lead with experience in Agile/Scrum teamwork, proactive and independent, with a strong interest in business issues. He/she has a user- and quality-oriented vision and knows how to communicate ideas clearly and structured to colleagues (testers, business teams) within a multicultural team.
Technical skills
- Knowledge of French or Dutch (A1: beginner level)
- Knowledge of English (C1: complex mastery)
- Experience in automated testing (L4: at least 10 years)
- Experience in manual testing (L4: at least 10 years)
- Good knowledge and experience with Jira (L3: at least 5 years)
- Good knowledge and experience with Xray (L2: at least 2 years)
- Experience with Ranorex automation tools (L1: at least some experience)
- ISTQB certification (level: n/a)
- Knowledge of at least one of the following standards: ISO9001, EN50.128, ISO27001 (level: n/a)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with HP-ALM / HP-Unified Functional Testing (UFT) (L3: at least 5 years)
- Knowledge of Selenium (L2: at least 2 years)
- Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum (L2: at least 2 years)
