Our client is looking for a qualified Solution Architect to join the IT Architecture department and support the Consumer Centricity (CC) Cluster. This cluster operates in a product-oriented model following agile principles and aims to enable market parties to unlock flexibility and ensure consumers benefit from the energy transition. The Solution Architect will play a key role in optimizing IT infrastructure and application landscape, supporting transformation initiatives across Belgium and Germany.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Digital Division (Division D), the Solution Architect will:
- Support the Customer Centricity product clusters in defining realizable architectures.
- Document existing and future landscapes consistently with other architects.
- Advise other architecture disciplines through Architecture Trade-off assessments.
- Analyse constraints, non-functional and functional requirements.
- Decompose business capabilities into relevant Solution Building Blocks using recommended architectural styles and patterns.
- Align stakeholders across the Product Organization, Architecture team, and delivery teams.
- Deliver Architecture Designs in line with the standards and guidelines.
- Provide designs based on integration design, application architecture, and available tools.
- Follow governance structures (Architecture Review Boards) using techniques such as ADR and ATAM.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in Solution Architecture with strong business and technical interaction
- Experience across process streams to identify cross-module end-to-end processes
- Ability to document and maintain architecture blueprints (Business, Application, Data), flows, and integrations
- Experience building solutions that integrate business, data, landscape, and requirements into a cohesive view
- Experience with Enterprise-Level Portal Strategy (B2B/B2C)
- Foundational knowledge of standards such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM, CBAM
- Experience with architecture modelling languages (e.g. ArchiMate); experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a plus
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD), microservices, event-driven and event-streaming architectures
- Understanding of Data Architecture concepts (data products, integration patterns, storage and access patterns)
Additional Skills
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure layer
- Familiarity with security concepts (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SSO+)
- Development experience (.NET, Micro Frontend, Backend for Frontend, Blazor, JS/TS, Azure Cloud Platform, K8s)
- Foundational knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, SAP (S/4 HANA, BTP, CPI, Event Mesh)
Soft Skills
- Strong facilitation and communication skills; able to influence and reach consensus
- Agile mindset; experience in agile environments and large projects is a plus

Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (mandatory for documentation and meetings)
- Collaboration with French, Dutch, and German-speaking team members; knowledge of these languages, especially German, is an asset
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English and French or Dutch
