Our client is looking for: Expert Test Engineer
Description
As part of projects within the Signalling Design Platform related to ETCS (European Train Control System), ICT is looking for a certified ISTQB expert test engineer with knowledge of quality standards, particularly the EN50.128 standard. This test engineer will join a small Agile team consisting of developers, analysts, and business analysts, and actively participate in both manual and automated testing of the Java-developed project. The person will adopt an innovative approach and ensure compliance with cybersecurity principles and ICT standards. The ability to work proactively and autonomously on challenging projects is a crucial element of the role. The test engineer will also contribute to the business objectives of the projects, which implies strong user orientation and close collaboration with business teams, including support for user acceptance tests. The projects involved are subject to several standards (quality: ISO 9001, signalling: EN 50.128, security: ISO 27001 – NIS). It is therefore essential that the candidate works meticulously and dedicates sufficient time to documentation to ensure follow-up and compliance with these standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced expert test engineer, familiar with working in an Agile/Scrum team, proactive and autonomous, with a strong interest in business challenges. The person has a user- and quality-oriented vision and can communicate ideas clearly and structured to colleagues (developers, analysts, project leaders, business teams) within a multicultural team.
Technical skills
- Proficiency in French or Dutch (C1: advanced mastery)
- Proficiency in English (B2: upper-intermediate level)
- Experience in manual testing (L4: at least 10 years)
- Experience in automated testing (L3: at least 5 years)
- Good knowledge and experience with Jira and Xray (L3: at least 5 years)
- Experience with automation tools Ready-API or SOAP-UI (L2: at least 2 years)
- Experience with Ranorex automation tools (L1: at least some experience)
- ISTQB certification
- Knowledge of at least one of the following standards: ISO9001, EN50.128
- Knowledge and experience in Selenium (L2: at least 2 years)
- Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum (L3: at least 5 years)
- Knowledge and experience in Gitlab and Jenkins (L2: at least 2 years)
