Our client is looking for a Data Developer.
Mission Context
The sought-after data developer/engineer will join the Factory Data team, which uses Azure data technologies.
Main Tasks
- Develop ingestion flows using Fabric Data Factory (and understanding of Azure Data Factory);
- Develop data transformation flows using Fabric Factory Notebook;
- Optimize transformation queries, particularly considering associated Azure costs;
- Contribute to Lake House modeling;
- Define the technical design and implement the medallion architecture (silver & gold) in Microsoft Fabric;
- Establish the unit test plan (automatable) for the solution;
- Execute and monitor unit tests;
- Participate in estimating development effort during request scoping;
- Write technical documentation;
- Contribute to continuous improvement (development guidelines);
- Contribute to maintenance and incident resolution (production).
Required Profile
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of open table formats (Delta, Iceberg);
- Experience as a data developer/data engineer;
- Proven experience with Cloud Data tools (Azure, AWS, GCP, …);
- Proven experience with the Spark framework (PySpark);
- Proven experience with Python;
- Proven experience using SQL & T-SQL;
- Proven experience in the Azure ecosystem;
- Proven experience in the Fabric ecosystem;
- Proven experience with Git & CI/CD;
- Proven experience in dimensional modeling;
- Strong understanding of Data Lake principles;
- Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification (DP-700: Implementing Data Engineering Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric);
- Knowledge of secure development best practices and experience implementing them;
- Proficiency in Fabric Data Factory and/or Azure Data Factory;
- Proficiency with Synapse Spark, Fabric, or Databricks;
- Proficiency in Azure Storage Account / OneLake principles;
- Azure Data Engineer certification (DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure);
- Theoretical knowledge of UML modeling (Class diagram);
- Experience as a developer on SAP BO/DS platforms;
- Solid experience with DAX language and Power BI.
Language Requirements
- French: C2 level (CEFR scale);
- English: B1 level (CEFR scale).
Secure development best practices and experience in their implementation will be verified during the interview if it takes place.
