Our client is looking for an ERP Solution Architect
JOB PURPOSE
As an experienced ERP Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our enterprise systems within the Architecture Office team. You will be responsible for aligning business needs with ERP capabilities, designing scalable and integrated solutions, and guiding strategic transformation initiatives across our IT landscape.
Drawing on your extensive experience across various ERP platforms (not limited to SAP), your strong architectural design skills, and your ability to map both functional and technical layers, you will help make our IT landscape more sustainable.
The ERP platform currently in use must handle, at group level, all financial, tax and controlling topics in a regulated B2B market. It is also responsible for handling the critical asset management capabilities (build, purchase, maintain and operate).
The mission must therefore help the company draw a comprehensive roadmap aligned with the ERP vendor roadmap (in our case SAP), the utilities market evolution and the ongoing project needs within each department, where integration plays a very crucial role.
YOUR REPONSABILITIES
- You design and maintain ERP roadmaps that are in line with both the wider enterprise strategy and vendor evolution, ensuring long-term coherence and adaptability.
- You lead the integration of ERP systems with other enterprise platforms, guaranteeing interoperability, performance, and security.
- You assess ERP technologies and vendors, identifying opportunities for innovation, simplification, or replacement where beneficial.
- You work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs, including the mandatory TSO regulation requirements, translate these into architectural requirements, and ensure alignment across all teams.
- You contribute to architectural governance by ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and best practices.
- You think “out of the box” to ensure that proposed solutions are a genuine improvement on the current state.
- You proactively identify necessary changes to the application landscape to ensure alignment with the overarching business strategy.
- You make sure that the proposed solution designs comply with integration standards and vision.
- You create designs for a secure, efficient, and adaptable future-state model.
- You stay up to date with new standards, technologies, and best practices, ensuring they are introduced and applied at the right time and when relevant.
- You are the contact person between the Architecture Office and the functional teams for everything related to the ERP solution.
ABOUT YOU
- A master's degree (civil engineering, commercial engineering or any scientific orientation).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Minimum 10 years in ERP architecture roles, with hands-on experience in multiple ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Strong ability to map functional and technical layers, design reference architectures, and model business capabilities.
- Familiarity with the utility/energy sector is a plus (e.g., asset management, metering, field operations).
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks preferred.
- A structured, results-oriented, and customer-oriented approach.
- The ability to create, maintain and explain modelling diagrams and functional documentation.
- Mental agility that enables you to adapt to new applications and technologies.
- Fluency in French and/or Dutch with a good knowledge of English.
