Service Description
Due to external factors such as the integration of renewable energy and the nuclear phase-out, and our client’s drive to maintain the highest quality of service at the lowest possible cost for society, we need to completely rethink and digitize the way our maintenance activities are carried out. This results in a large number of transformation projects with an IT component.
The team of business analysts (BAs) is responsible for capturing and writing business requirements. We are also responsible for part of the functional tests (including regression tests), end-to-end tests, and organizing UATs by the business. To free up BAs for analyses requiring their business expertise, we want to hire an experienced tester who can take on the following tasks:
Tasks
- Create test plan: Review business requirements and write the test plan based on them. Request clarification from the BA where necessary.
- Develop test scenarios: Write test scenarios based on the test plan and business requirements.
- Prepare test data: In some cases, test data will need to be created. When test environments are refreshed, ensure these refreshes are synchronized so that we have consistent test data across systems.
- Execute test scenarios: Perform functional tests (including regression tests) that are currently part of the BA’s responsibilities. End-to-end tests will remain with the BA for now.
- Follow up on defects: Log detected defects and monitor their resolution.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a technical or economic field or equivalent through experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in preparing and executing functional and end-to-end tests.
- Proven experience in writing test plans and test scenarios.
- Several years of experience as a test coordinator within a complex project structure.
- Experience interpreting process flows and class diagrams.
- Knowledge of BPMN and UML.
- Experience using tools such as Jira and EA is a plus.
- Experience in the electricity sector is an advantage.
- Experience with maintenance of industrial assets is a plus.
- Good command of English (reading, writing).
- Excellent command of Dutch or French (speaking, reading, writing), and understanding of the second national language.
