Our client is looking for a Business Analyst
As a Business Analyst at SITO, you play a key role in our clients digital transformation. Our client aims for significant improvements in efficiency and quality while supporting the energy transition, the increase of renewable energy, and the nuclear phase-out. To achieve these objectives, a thorough digitalization of activities and support for employees is essential. Additionally, processes need to be harmonized between our client and its German sister company.
The Business Analyst is responsible for designing efficient business processes, capturing business needs, and translating them into IT specifications. You act as the bridge between business and users on one side and IT partners on the other (functional analyst, project leader, architect, etc.), challenging all parties to ensure optimal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Model business processes and guide the business in redesigning processes.
- Identify business needs and translate them into well-supported business requirements (epics, features, user stories).
- Challenge the business regarding their needs and to-be processes.
- Develop business information models (interfaces, screens, reports, etc.).
- Harmonize business processes across Elia departments and between Elia Assets and 50Hz.
- Align and validate requirements between business and IT.
- Validate IT’s functional analysis.
- Test and validate releases after implementation, including support in UAT.
- Play an active role in change management: prepare training materials and deliver training sessions to end-users.
- Support the business in using IT tools during post-implementation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a technical or economic field or equivalent through experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, including identifying needs, drafting business requirements, and designing business processes.
- Good command of English (reading, writing).
- Excellent command of Dutch or French (speaking, reading, writing) and understanding of the second national language.
- Strong analytical skills and critical mindset; able to challenge stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; capable of building consensus and convincing stakeholders.
- Skilled in planning and organization.
- Customer-oriented and flexible.
- Knowledge of BPMN and UML.
- Experience in an engineering company and managing E2E plans is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Autodesk suite is a plus.
- Experience with tools such as EA (Enterprise Architect), Jira & DevOps is a plus.
- Experience in the electricity sector is an asset.
