Our client is looking for: Senior System Administrator MQ
Description
As a System Administrator MQ/MQTT, you are part of a team that connects dozens of applications through messaging middleware such as IBM MQ and/or MQTT. IBM MQ has been the standard for years for communication between applications, including with external partners. VerneMQ (MQTT) is the recent standard technology for IoT communication. MQTT is growing within our company, with both internal and external clients, and there is a strong focus on security.
Your main activities are:
- Management, maintenance, and further development of the IBM MQ and MQTT middleware infrastructure, and subsequently evolving the VerneMQ MQTT configuration into a critical platform compliant with NIS legislation.
- Setting up new monitoring methods and collecting statistical information.
- Participating in planned infrastructure migrations (network, operating system, etc.).
- Documenting all flows and techniques.
- Training junior team members.
- Maintaining contact with users to keep an overview of dependencies and critical flows.
Technical skills
- Knowledge of Dutch or French (C1: complex mastery).
- Very good knowledge of English: understanding, writing, and reading (B2: upper-intermediate level).
- Good knowledge and experience with bash, ansible, and AWX (L3: at least 5 years of experience).
- Good knowledge and experience with IBM MQ (L3: at least 5 years of experience).
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools (L2: at least 2 years of experience).
- Knowledge of tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana (L2: at least 2 years of experience).
- Writing skills for documentation and analysis (L2: at least 2 years of experience).
Soft skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of the company, the IT world, and understand the challenges of the requested role.
