Service description:
Our client Group Server team is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer who will collaborate with other engineers to develop, implement and manage cloud solutions within our company. The Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the automated infrastructure for our Azure Cloud and our future Kubernetes Platform. This includes provisioning, configuration, and monitoring our cloud resources using Terraform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automation, IaaC, Data (Databricks/DataFactory) and Kubernetes. Developing, Testing, Debugging, and Troubleshooting of Containerized Infrastructure. Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small-scale systems. Ensure solutions are well-engineered, maintainable, and delivered on schedule. Work with business and engineering teams to deploy new infrastructure in our Azure Platform. Monitor the availability, latency, and overall system health. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments. Communicate status and risks to the product and Management teams. Help automate and streamline operations and processes.

Requirements:
Significant experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules.
Good knowledge in Biceps is a plus.
Solid experience in deploying/securing distributed apps with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Azure Kubernetes).
Experience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc.
Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud, certification is a plus.
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions.
Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principles.
Experience with container-related technologies and CI/CD tools – DevOps, pipelines, container repos, etc.
Experience in programming and infra-automation tools – Terraform, Ansible, etc.
A deep understanding of the Data Platform technologies and ability to work with services like ADF, Databricks, …
Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools (ex: Grafana, Prometheus, …)
Proficient in scripting languages (i.e. Bash, Powershell, CLI, Python).
