Description
In the context of several projects within the Signalling Design Platform unit related to ETCS (European Train Control System), ICT is looking for a business analyst with experience in microservices (API). As a Business Analyst of the ETCS tools, you work within an Agile/Scrum project team and have the following responsibilities:
You are responsible for studying and analyzing the tool assigned to you and writing the User Stories based on collaboration with the key users. You examine the necessary adaptations to business processes following the introduction (or new versions) of the tool, and you monitor the effective implementation of these adaptations by the project teams, in collaboration with the Product Owner/Project Leader and the ICT coordinator.
You maintain and update specific functional and business data: information model of the tool, User Stories, process flows… within the framework of the development of the tool, which consists of several microservices/APIs. You collaborate actively with the potential Enterprise Architect, other functional or business analysts, the Product Owner/Project Leader and the ICT coordinator to ensure that the evolutions of the tool are aligned with the roadmap of the ETCS tools and the future tool landscape.
If necessary, you proactively propose updates of this roadmap and/or landscape based on new insights or business needs. You work together with analysts of other projects to strengthen the integration of the different tools/microservices (API) (toolchain), both at functional level and in the area of business processes.

The candidate must demonstrate rigor and dedicate the necessary time to documentation to ensure follow-up and compliance with these standards.
Ideal profile
- A medior to senior business analyst with one or more experiences in development teams for microservices and/or APIs, working in Agile/Scrum, with a strong interest in business challenges. He/she possesses:
- A user- and quality-oriented vision,
- The ability to communicate ideas clearly and structured,
- Ease in a multicultural environment.
Technical skills
- Knowledge of French (B2: upper-intermediate level)
- Knowledge of Dutch (C1: complex mastery)
- Knowledge of English (C1: complex mastery)
- Experience as business analyst (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Experience in functional analysis (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Good knowledge and experience with Jira, Confluence and Miro (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Experience with Balsamiq (L1: at least one experience)
- Experience with Enterprise Architect tool (L1: at least one experience)
- Experience with Figma (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Knowledge of standards EN50.128 and ISO9001 (level: n/a)
- Knowledge in BPMN, UML (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Knowledge of APIs, data flows and Swagger (L1: at least one experience)
- Experience as analyst or business analyst in a Java-, Angular- and microservices-development team (L1: at least one experience)
- A basic certification in business analysis (or equivalent) (level: n/a)
