Our client is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager
Your role:
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead strategic initiatives with high technical and organizational complexity. You will oversee transversal projects involving multiple departments, external partners, and critical application landscapes, including SAP.
Your leadership, strategic mindset, and ability to structure execution are essential to drive the company’s digital transformation.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead complex IT programs and projects: strategic scoping, roadmap definition, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure governance and transversal coordination: steering committees, dependency management, and communication with business leaders.
- Oversee technical aspects: strong understanding of architectures, integrations, data flows, and SAP-related constraints.
- Advanced budget management: build, monitor, and optimize multi-project budgets.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams: internal teams, external partners, SAP integrators, and technical experts.
- Risk and quality management: anticipate issues, define mitigation plans, arbitrate decisions, and ensure deliverable quality.
- Drive large-scale change management: adoption strategy, communication, training, and user support.
- Promote continuous improvement and standardization: implement methodologies, optimize processes, and capitalize on best practices.
- If necessary, you coordinate a study, an RFI, or an RFP.
- You update the project documentation in accordance with the applicable methodologies (PMLC). You also oversee the update of the reference documentation for the applications and infrastructures involved in your project(s), in line with the SDLC methodology.
WHICH DEPARTMENT WILL YOU JOIN?
The Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department supports all of the company's core business activities. Its mission is to provide the company with an autonomous and future-proof IT landscape, aligned with evolving needs and technological developments.
Within the DBS department, the ERP team supports the HR, Finance, Logistics, and Procurement departments in optimizing their processes and improving the user experience. This includes enhancing existing applications or developing new solutions tailored to the needs of internal stakeholders. The ERP team consists of around fifteen professionals, including project managers, functional analysts, and developers.
Within the ERP team, we are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager, reporting directly to the ERP Team Manager.
Skills
- Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile…)
- Proven experience as Project Manager on at least one full end to end SAP implementation, such as SAP ECC, SAP HR, FI/FICA, MM, WM, EWM or S/4HANA.
- Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including internal teams, external partners, and SAP integrators.
- Proven experience in governance and steering committee activities, driving structured reporting, managing cross project dependencies, and maintaining alignment with the different project stakeholders
- Proven experience in IT Project Management, demonstrating success in leading and delivering complex projects
- Proven experience in project budgeting, including budget creation (estimates), monitoring, and optimization
- Proven experience in risk management and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Proven experience leading the end to end implementation of an HRIS, Finance, or Logistics system/solution, not necessarily SAP.
- Proven in managing or participating in RFI/RFP processes
- Knowledge of ITIL principles
- Proven experience in the Belgian energy sector or Belgian public sector
- Fluency in French or Dutch, with passive understanding of the other national language
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, engineering, or management
- During potential interview, demonstrates excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- During potential interview, demonstrates strong understanding of technical IT environments (architecture, interfaces, middleware, cloud, security, etc.).
