Our client is looking for a Senior ORACLE Database Administrator / Experienced ORACLE Database Manager.
Mission Context
As the primary technical contact for ORACLE database management, you will be part of the DBA-EXPERT team within the Infrastructure domain of the Hosting Factory in the I&O department.
The Hosting Factory is dedicated to creating and optimizing secure and scalable hosting environments—both Cloud and On-Premise—integrating Electronic Document Management (EDM) systems to facilitate document management and information sharing.
It also ensures the corrective and evolutionary maintenance of these platforms, providing specialized Level 3 technical support to resolve complex incidents, thereby guaranteeing performance, resilience, and security of hosted services.
Main Tasks
- Provide 3rd-line support related to Oracle databases.
- Coordinate problem resolution between various IT teams and 3rd-line support for external suppliers.
- Monitor database performance using standard tools.
- Implement necessary security measures in collaboration with technical architecture teams and the CISO.
- Manage the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle DB solutions.
- Ensure backup implementation and follow-up.
- Propose and defend realistic improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical recommendations to developers on database management to ensure efficient and secure usage.
- Prepare and execute deployment and back-out plans.
- Define and implement standards for databases, taking necessary initiatives to stay up to date with the latest technologies.
Skills
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Unix/Linux.
- Strong understanding of virtualized environments (VMWare).
- Solid understanding of high-availability systems (DRP/HA).
- Language requirement: C2 level in French on the CEFR scale.
- Proven expertise and experience with the following database systems: SQL Server, Oracle.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and executing scripts.
- Proven experience in setting up, optimizing, and monitoring database systems.
- Excellent knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, NetApp).
- Proven experience in a corporate environment similar to ORES (number of users > 2000).
