Description

We are looking for a driven IT Analyst who enjoys analyzing, designing, and developing systems within an Agile/DevOps environment. As a full-fledged member of a multidisciplinary feature team, you will work on innovative solutions, translate business needs into clear technical requirements, and contribute to a genuine DevOps culture by also taking on Operations tasks. Leadership in agile ceremonies and fostering innovation within networks are central to this role.

You will deliver analysis and implementation in a local team that provides services and applications for BMW Financial Services Belux, focusing on fast value delivery and high-quality output in the local market. At the same time, you act as a bridge between the business (Belux) and the central BMW applications and services: translating business needs into concrete technical requirements and ensuring seamless alignment between the local context and central infrastructure. You maintain a holistic view of both local and central systems so that changes, integrations, and optimizations deliver value for both Belux and the broader BMW ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test systems for assigned products/applications.
  • Drive technical innovation and evangelize new technologies within formal and informal networks.
  • Expand responsibilities to Operations to embed DevOps practices.
  • Be a full member of an Agile feature team; support and/or lead agile ceremonies and refine business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical and functional specifications and collaboratively refine them with the team.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure value, quality, and speed.
  • Maintain a simplified, result-oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach and attention to detail.

Required Technology Knowledge (Medior Level)

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with system analysis and design tools such as UML, BPMN, or similar.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Knowledge of API design and integration (RESTful services, SOAP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools used in Operations (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack) is a plus.
  • Good grasp of version control systems (e.g., Git).
