Our client is looking for: Senior Data Engineer
1. Description
The data engineer builds scalable data pipelines, orchestrates data flows, develops ETL processes in SQL and Python, ensures data quality and applies clean code and CI/CD principles within data engineering. He or she understands the lakehouse principles and can create schemas and ERDs to correctly model the source domains.
Technical skills
- Data pipeline engineering in a lakehouse architecture (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Extraction of data from various sources (structured, semi‑structured, unstructured) (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Data orchestration with Airflow or equivalent (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- ETL development in SQL and Python (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Experience with and knowledge of Docker, containers (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Clean code & CI/CD for data engineering (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Schema and ERD design (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Experience as a communication‑skilled professional capable of operating autonomously and acting proactively (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Knowledge of PySpark (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- English (B2: upper‑intermediate level)
- Dutch or French (C1: advanced mastery)
Soft skills
