Our client is looking for a Senior Data Analyst

Mission

The Out of Home (OOH) team within bpost is responsible for all manned and unmanned points within bpost, excluding post offices. This includes parcel points, postal points and parcel lockers. With around 2,500 parcel lockers, this network represents a key strategic pillar. To support further growth, bpost is looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will play a key role in driving data initiatives, dashboard development, insights generation and strategic decision-making.

Reporting

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of end-to-end dashboard development: data collection, transformation, data modelling and PowerBI visualisation
  • Build and maintain Python scripts for data processing, simulation and optimisation
  • Design, build and maintain a robust and scalable data model
  • Develop a deep understanding of system architecture and data dependencies across operational and IT environments
  • Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, translating business needs into technical/data requirements
  • Collaborate closely with the Central Data Team

Data Analysis and Profitability Insights

  • Perform in-depth analyses on locker usage and their contribution to profitability
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights to improve capacity usage and long-term operational performance
  • Prepare reports summarising financial and operational performance, including key KPIs for Management
  • Monitor and analyse real-time data for lockers and manned points, with recommendations for improvements

Data Modelling & Governance

  • Contribute to defining and implementing a structured and scalable data model for OOH activities
  • Identify data inconsistencies and actively participate in improving overall data quality
  • Define, implement and monitor Data Quality (DQ) rules in collaboration with IT and the Central Data Team
  • Clarify KPI definitions and ensure alignment between business and reporting logic
  • Support the transition from manual Excel-based processes to automated, reliable data solutions

Capacity Forecasting and Optimisation

  • Collaborate with the team to create data‑driven forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and peak periods
  • Develop strategies for optimal use of lockers and manned points, balancing customer satisfaction and costs

Profile

Requirements

  • University degree
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBI and Python
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a similar analytical role
  • Excellent command of English; Dutch and/or French is an asset
  • Strong affinity with capacity planning and demand forecasting techniques
  • Preferred: experience or strong affinity with Capacity Management or Yield Management
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proactive attitude and excellent problem‑solving abilities
  • Knowledge of data modelling principles
  • Experience with data quality management and governance
  • Ability to work in low‑maturity data environments and structure data processes
