Our client is looking for a Senior UX Designer / Conversational UX Designer

Context

As a Senior UX Designer, you have over 5 years of experience in creating user experiences and managing the visual translation of functional expectations. Together with project teams, you work on solutions that incorporate the functional expectations of your target audience. You ensure an excellent user experience and visual translation across all digital touchpoints. You test and improve your designs through interaction with end users and analyze user data to identify improvements. You follow external developments and trends (experiences, navigation patterns, etc.) and ensure consistency within and between channels by monitoring and adjusting previously established elements, behaviors, and interactions. Over time, you will deepen your expertise in one of the financial needs domains of the bank insurer. You promote the importance of experience design within the organization and strive to enhance the experience across channels.
This role also includes responsibility as a Conversational UX Designer for digital assistant, who supports customers quickly, intelligently, and personally. With millions of monthly interactions, is a key element in customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams to design solutions that reflect functional expectations of target audiences.
  • Deliver excellent user experience and visual translation across all digital touchpoints.
  • Test and improve designs through interactions with end users.
  • Study and analyze user data as input for continuous improvement.
  • Follow developments and trends in the outside world, such as experiences and navigation patterns.
  • Ensure consistency within and between channels; monitor or adjust previously established elements, behaviors, and interactions, including documenting and motivating changes.
  • Build long‑term expertise in one of the financial needs domains of the bank insurer.
  • Promote the importance of experience design within the organization and contribute to improving channel experiences.

Conversational UX Designer responsibilities 

  • Design, write, and optimize conversations (flows, prompts, training phrases, intents).
  • Translate complex processes into simple, understandable dialogue scenarios.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, analysts, developers, and business teams.
  • Conduct user research: test dialogues, analyze data, and process feedback.
  • Set up A/B tests to improve conversational experiences.
  • Guard and refine the banking app's tone of voice.
  • Work closely with the AI team to improve underlying models.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in UX writing, conversational design, or a similar role.
  • Strong language skills (Dutch required; English is a plus).
  • Ability to write clearly and empathetically.
  • Understanding of AI‑driven products, NLU/NLP, and chatbot principles.
  • Experience with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro) and/or conversational tooling.
  • Ability to think in flows rather than screens.
  • Analytical and creative mindset.
