Our client is looking for an ICT Technical owner
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Technical Owner for the Gas Flow Management (GFM) product, you will act as the technical counterpart to the Product Owner, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality, feasible, and scalable solutions. You will provide technical leadership, guide architecture and design decisions, and ensure alignment with internal standards and product vision. You will also help the team structure and
organize their technical work to deliver consistent outcomes and ensure alignment with cross-product standards.
You will be accountable for the end-to-end technical health of the product, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, team members, and technical stakeholders (e.g., architects, platform teams) to ensure the product evolves in a robust and sustainable way.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
You will be part of one of the GSmart product teams and help evolve the product suite by enabling new services for our customers, ensuring compliance with evolving Belgian and European regulations, and preparing the platform for future carbon-neutral energy carriers.
In this context, the Technical Owner combines technical leadership with hands-on contribution, actively contributing to development while guiding the product’s technical direction.
More specifically, as a Technical Owner, you:
- Own and safeguard the product’s technical health, architecture, and long-term maintainability.
- Ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, secure, and aligned with architectural standards.
- Guide the team in translating product requirements into technical designs, system interactions, and backlog items.
- Mentor and coach team members on technical decisions specific to the product landscape or cross-product standards.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to plan delivery and support the team in meeting the definition of done.
- Facilitate resolution of technical bottlenecks, risks, and technical debt.
- Actively engage with internal technical stakeholders to align on technical enablers, constraints, and cross-product integration.
- Contribute to product budget discussions with the Product Owner by providing input on technical feasibility, priorities, and trade-offs.
- Promote knowledge sharing, consistency, and best practices across the team and, when relevant, across products.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Strong hands-on experience with the GSmart technical stack, including .NET (.NET 8 / .NET Framework), ASP.NET Web API, SQL Server / Oracle, messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ), and modern DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system integration patterns, and maintainable system design, with the ability to translate product needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience performing technical analysis and system modeling (e.g., information models, interface contracts, UML diagrams) to support clear and structured implementations.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, enabling effective collaboration between developers, analysts, architects, and product stakeholders.
- Ability to coach and guide team members on technical approaches, conventions, and practices within the product landscape.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on knowledge sharing, constructive feedback, and collective ownership within the team.
- Ability to balance delivery needs with long-term product sustainability, helping teams make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Fluency in English, with a good command of French or Dutch, and willingness to improve the other language.
