Our client is looking for a Senior Test Engineer
Description
In the context of projects within the Signalling Design Platform unit related to ETCS (European Train Control System), ICT is looking for a senior test engineer, ISTQB certified, with knowledge of quality standards — in particular the EN50.128 standard — and who has or has had a scrum master certification, in order to replace the scrum master if needed.
This test engineer will join an Agile team consisting of developers, analysts and a business analyst, and will actively participate in manual and automated tests of the project developed in Java/Angular within a microservices environment.
He/she adopts an innovative approach and ensures compliance with cybersecurity principles as well as ICT standards. The ability to work proactively and autonomously on challenging projects is an essential part of the function.
The test engineer will also contribute to the business objectives of the projects, which implies strong user orientation and close collaboration with business teams, including potential support for user acceptance tests.
The project(s) involved are subject to several standards (quality: ISO 9001, signalling: EN 50.128, security: ISO 27001/NIS). It is therefore essential that the candidate works meticulously and devotes the necessary time to documentation to ensure follow-up and compliance with these standards.
The ideal candidate is an expert test engineer, experienced in working within Agile/Scrum teams (possibly Safescrum), proactive and autonomous, with a strong interest in business challenges. The test engineer has a user- and quality-oriented vision and can communicate ideas clearly and in a structured manner to colleagues (other testers, developers, analysts, project leaders, business teams).
Technical skill
- Knowledge of English (C2: highly complex mastery)
- Knowledge of Dutch (B2: upper intermediate level)
- Knowledge of French (A1: beginner level)
- Experience in manual testing (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Experience in automated testing (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Good knowledge and experience with Jira, Confluence and Xray (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Experience with automation tools Ready-API or SOAP‑UI (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Experience with Postman and Swagger tools (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- ISTQB certification (level: n/a)
- Knowledge of the EN50.128 standard and cybersecurity best practices (L1: at least some experience)
- Knowledge and experience in Selenium (L1: at least some experience)
- Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
- Knowledge and experience in Gitlab (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Knowledge and experience in microservices (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Knowledge and experience in SQL and XML (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
- Having or having had a SAFe Scrum Master certification (level: n/a)
