We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect with strong expertise in flexibility markets and MG Flex processes to join the Future Platforms team.
Context
- Within the company, the Future Platforms Department is responsible for building and managing the next generation of digital platforms that will enable flexibility, data-driven services, and new market models. This department is structured around four key pillars:
- Contract Ownership & Service Run: Managing vendor contracts and ensuring the operational service delivery of future platforms such as the Flexhub.
- Agile Transformation: Driving the adoption of Agile methodologies across teams to accelerate delivery and adaptability.
- Scrum Masters & Product Owners: Supporting product-driven development and ensuring solutions are co-created in close collaboration with market stakeholders.
- Governance Alignment: Ensuring effective decision-making and alignment through governance bodies.
The Future Platforms Department ensures that the company can experiment, adapt, and deliver platforms in a flexible way, while maintaining strong governance and operational reliability. By doing so, it positions itself to respond quickly to evolving market needs, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements—ensuring Belgium’s energy market remains stable, flexible, and future-ready.
The candidate brings:
- Over 8 years of experience as a Solution Architect, including extensive experience in the Belgian energy sector.
- Expert knowledge of the Belgian energy market, combined with proven experience in coordinating between DSO and TSO platform teams.
- Strong expertise in flexibility markets and MG Flex, with hands-on experience in flexibility platforms such as FlexHub or RTCP.
- Proven experience with architecture modelling techniques and tools, including ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML, and Sparx EA, as well as experience with Azure-based platforms.
- Senior-level experience with Normalized Systems technology and proven involvement in co-authoring RFPs in the energy sector.
The candidate combines strong architectural expertise with sector knowledge and stakeholder coordination skills, making them well suited to support the company in the design and evolution of future flexibility platforms and market solutions.
Key activities will include:
- Defining and maintaining solution architectures for flexibility market initiatives and MG Flex processes.
- Translating business and market needs into clear architecture designs and solution blueprints.
- Coordinating architecture alignment across DSO, TSO, and other platform stakeholders.
- Supporting the evolution of flexibility platforms such as FlexHub and RTCP, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Contributing to architecture governance, RFP preparation, and solution guidance in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of Flexibility Markets & MG Flex
- Proven Experience coordinating between DSO and TSO platform teams

- Proven Experience with Normalized Systems technology at senior level
