Our client is looking for AI Steward

Description

The AI Steward operates within the AI & Emerging ICT unit with the objective of structuring, industrialising and integrating AI governance requirements (AI Act, Responsible AI, data governance) into AI development processes and infrastructures. He/she acts as an interface between governance teams (legal, risk, compliance) and technical teams (data, ML, IT).

The main responsibilities include:

  • Translating regulatory requirements (AI Act, GDPR, etc.) into technical controls and operational processes
  • Contributing to the drafting and formalisation of AI policies, standards and guidelines in collaboration with governance teams
  • Translating these policies into concrete implementations: templates, technical controls, checklists and integration into data/ML pipelines across the entire AI system lifecycle (design, development, deployment, monitoring)
  • Defining and implementing standardised templates (AI documentation, risk assessments, model cards, logging, monitoring)
  • Integrating compliance requirements into data and MLOps platforms (data quality checks, model registry, audit logs, monitoring)
  • Ensuring traceability and auditability of AI systems (documentation, logging, lineage)
  • Setting up observability and reporting tools for AI governance
  • Supporting project teams in applying AI standards
  • Contributing to the identification and mitigation of AI risks (bias, robustness, security, human oversight), according to a risk-based approach
  • Ensuring consistency between policies, technical implementation and regulatory requirements
  • Producing and structuring the evidence required for compliance (audit, reporting, controls)

The role aims to enable AI compliance “by design”, scalable and reusable across projects. 

Technical skills

  • Experience in AI governance / data governance / compliance (AI Act, GDPR) (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
  • Language 1: French or Dutch (C1: advanced proficiency)
  • Language 2: French or Dutch (other than language 1) (B1: intermediate level)
  • Language 3: English (B2: upper-intermediate level)
  • Translating regulatory requirements into technical solutions and operational processes (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Acquired insight into the principles of Responsible AI (bias, fairness, explainability, risk management) (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
  • Experience in setting up standards, templates or frameworks (documentation, risk, compliance) (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Experience in data quality management and dataset validation (data quality, data governance) (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
  • Experience in monitoring and observability of AI systems (logs, performance, drift, auditability) (L2: at least 2 years of experience)
  • Working in a transversal environment (IT, data, legal, business) (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Experience in AI risk management and implementation of mitigation measures (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Experience in drafting and operationalising AI/data policies (translation into processes, controls and technical templates) (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Supporting change and driving adoption of AI standards within teams (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Experience in producing technical and regulatory documentation (AI systems, models, datasets) (L3: at least 5 years of experience)
  • Good acquired knowledge of data and MLOps environments (ML pipelines, model lifecycle) and the ability to collaborate with technical teams to integrate governance requirements (L2: at least 2 years of experience)

Soft skills

  • The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the company, the IT world, and an understanding of the challenges of the requested role, as well as the mission and core activities of the company
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to integrate into the company teams, notably through the values of kindness, courage, positivity and reliability
