Our client is looking for a Medior Linux Engineer Red Hat Linux Systems
Description
As an intermediate Linux system engineer (3 to 5 years of experience in managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems), you will work within a team responsible for the setup and management of approximately 1,800 servers (physical and virtual under Vmware ESX).
The following skills are sought:
- Experience with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, etc.), scripting (Python and Shell) and monitoring (Zabbix, etc.).
- Knowledge of Vmware ESX
- Knowledge of network terminology and network architecture. Knowledge of Cisco ACI.
- Understanding of storage techniques, both local (RAID) and remote (SAN, NAS, etc.).
- Willingness to provide on‑call service one week per month on average.
- Good command of Dutch or French, both spoken and written. Practical knowledge of the second national language.
- Good skills in documenting your own work and spontaneous sharing of knowledge with colleagues.
- Possesses proven analytical skills to independently handle complex situations.
- Proactive attitude and critical thinking in problem analysis.
- Willing to provide on‑call service one week per month.
Technical skills
- Knowledge of Dutch or French (C2: highly complex mastery)
- Knowledge of English: understanding, writing and reading (B2: upper‑intermediate level)
- Knowledge of the second national language (B1: intermediate level)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems (L2: minimum 2 years of experience)
- Experience with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, etc.) (L2: minimum 2 years of experience)
