We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale storage infrastructure migration program within a complex enterprise IT environment.
The mission focuses on the migration of an existing storage platform (HDS) to a new target platform (Huawei), with a strict and non-negotiable deadline. The objective is to ensure a fully controlled transition without any impact on service continuity.
Responsibilities
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operational management of the migration program, including:
- Driving and managing the detailed migration planning and ensuring day-to-day operational execution
- Coordinating technical activities in close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
- Acting as the primary point of contact for application Project Leaders / Program Managers to:
- Validate application readiness prior to migration
- Coordinate migration windows
- Anticipate and resolve operational and organizational blockers
- Ensuring strict adherence to milestones, deadlines, and interdependencies
- Proactively identifying and escalating risks that may impact delivery timelines
- Managing and maintaining progress tracking, risk registers, and associated action plans
- Ensuring execution of decisions and follow-up of actions until full closure
- Guaranteeing that no internal or external stakeholder introduces delays or deviations impacting the overall migration
- Safeguarding service continuity throughout the entire migration process
End goal:
Deliver a complete, controlled and risk-free migration within the defined timeline, ensuring zero disruption to business operations.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in complex IT infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in large-scale migration programs across multi-datacenter environments
- Strong expertise in enterprise storage systems, including:
- Hitachi Vantara (VSP G1500)
- Huawei storage infrastructures
- Experience working in complex environments with multiple operating systems and dependencies
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, application dependencies, and migration strategies
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills (technical & business)
- Proven ability to manage risks, planning, and execution under strict deadlines
