Our client, a major player in the European energy sector, is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support the evolution of a strategic Consumer Centricity platform. You will contribute to the development of critical digital solutions that enable collaboration with external stakeholders and support the ongoing transition toward a modern cloud-native platform ecosystem.
Working alongside both internal teams and external experts, you will help shape innovative, scalable, and secure digital solutions within a highly dynamic and technology-driven environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining and steering the architecture of a business-critical platform consisting of:
- A web platform and portals used by external stakeholders
- An API layer enabling system-to-system integration
- An internal management portal used by product owners and operators
- An integration layer connecting data owners, metering points and energy asset owners
Your responsibilities include:
- Driving the architectural vision and evolution of the Consumer Centricity platform
- Providing architectural guidance to Product Owners and Product Managers
- Collaborating closely with development and product teams to define optimal solutions
- Leading the transition from Microsoft Azure services towards a Kubernetes-based cloud-native platform
- Ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, technology and security standards
- Designing scalable and future-proof solutions supporting long-term business objectives
- Facilitating architectural discussions and validating technical decisions with stakeholders
Required Experience
Architecture & Cloud
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Solution Architect
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure PaaS services
- Proven experience designing cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes environments
- Experience migrating applications between platforms and technologies
- Strong understanding of integration architectures and Enterprise Integration Patterns
API & Integration
- Experience with API Management platforms (experience with Kong is a strong asset)
- Strong knowledge of system integration patterns and distributed architectures
- Experience with Identity & Access Management is considered a plus
Technical Environment
Experience with several of the following technologies is highly valued:
- Microsoft Azure
- Kubernetes
- Kafka
- RabbitMQ
- Harbor
- MongoDB
- API Management platforms
Architecture Methodologies
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate and ATAM
- Familiarity with architecture modelling tools (Sparx Enterprise Architect is a plus)
- Good understanding of:
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Microservices architectures
- Event-driven architectures
