We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to help shape and govern the data foundations of our Non-Financial Risk (NFR) landscape.
Context
As a Data Modeller, you will work at the intersection of Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, Architecture, and Technology. You will translate complex risk management concepts into sustainable conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support reporting, risk management, governance, advanced analytics, and future AI use cases.
You will contribute to the design of an integrated data model for domains such as Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, IT Risk, Information Security Risk, Third-Party Risk, Model Risk, and Fraud Risk. These domains are core components of the Non-Financial Risk framework.
Key Responsibilities
Data Modelling
Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Develop canonical models for Non-Financial Risk concepts such as:
- Risks
- Controls
- Incidents
- Issues
- Action Plans
- Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
Business Activities
Ensure consistency across operational systems, data lakes, reporting platforms, and governance tools.
Business & Risk Analysis
- Work closely with business experts and IT.
- Translate business terminology and risk management concepts into clear and reusable data structures.
- Facilitate modelling workshops and challenge ambiguities in business definitions.
- Build and maintain a common business vocabulary and data glossary.
Data Governance
- Support data governance initiatives by defining ownership, metadata, lineage, and traceability.
- Ensure models align with governance standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Contribute to the documentation and management of critical data elements and risk indicators.
What We Are Looking For
As a senior Data Modeler, you have over 5 years of experience in performing logical and physical data design and management, including governance, master data, meta-data and security :
- You understanding the functional domain of a business line, and master its applicative Business Intelligence;
- You (organize workshops to) gather the business requirements and define solutions with the business client;
- You plan and follow up on projects;
- You design the different data patrimonies and keep it coherent in time;
- You assess new tools, new technologies and methodologies;
- You create and update the functional documentation;
- You explain the functional contents of the projects to the development team (link between users and the development team);
- You monitor and control the functional design (logical data, functionalities and controls) of the business applications;
- You validate the deviations needed in the design and make sure that they are documented;
- You ensure the respect of the functional and technical design and make sure they are documented;
- You define best practices and patterns to be applied in the application context and make sure they are documented;
- You help to define the testing approach of the projects with the business client;
- You test new developments or changes of existing functionalities.

Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.

- Experience with governance platforms such as Collibra or equivalent tooling.
- Knowledge of risk & control frameworks, KRIs, incidents, and controls management.

Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based analytics environments
