Our client is looking for an Operational Endpoint Engineer
Function Description
We are looking for an Operational Endpoint Engineer to join our team.
You will be part of a 10-person team managing the full lifecycle, support, and improvement of endpoints across the company. You ensure devices are delivered, maintained, and tracked efficiently across a fleet of around 3,000 endpoints
for 1,500 users.
The role combines hands-on staging and lifecycle management with troubleshooting and direct user support.
Responsibilities
- Ticket Handling & User Support (30%)
- Handle tickets (incidents and requests) assigned to the team, with a focus on device lifecycle issues.
- Troubleshoot software (OS) & hardware related issues & document the taken steps.
- Coordinate the repairs of hardware issues with the vendors.
- Act as a clear, patient and service-minded contact point for internal customers.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers while building your own troubleshooting skills.
- Endpoint Staging & User Onboarding (30%)
- Perform staging of physical and virtual endpoints.
- Keep staging procedures up to date and aligned with team standards.
- Contribute to a smooth and predictable onboarding experience for new joiners.
- Returned Equipment & Asset Lifecycle (20%)
- Manage returned equipment, assess its condition, and determine the appropriate next action (repair, redeployment, or retirement)
- Carry out secure data erasure procedures on returned devices
- Coordinate with a third-party broker for device repairs, disposal, and warranty management
- Update asset status in the CMDB accurately and consistently across all lifecycle stages.
- Supplier Coordination & Stock Management (10%)
- Manage returns to suppliers and track the resolution of related cases.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate orders via the administrative team when predefined thresholds are reached.
- Operations & Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and efficient staging environment
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and shared team knowledge.
- Proactively identify and suggest process improvements based on daily operations
Technical Skills
- Strong foundation in Windows (3+ years) with practical experience in endpoint troubleshooting, imaging, and provisioning
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and support expertise in PC hardware and peripherals
- Practical knowledge of asset management, CMDB best practices, and lifecycle tracking for large-scale device fleets
- Familiarity with SCCM-based staging and/or Intune Autopilot provisioning is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in PowerShell, or a strong willingness to build expertise in this area.e
Communication Skills
- Languages: fluent in Dutch or French and English.

- Service-minded team player, comfortable with users and supplier contacts.
- Curious and willing to learn the broader endpoint stack over time.
