Our client is looking for a Senior IT Test Manager
Description
The primary responsibility of the Senior IT Test Manager is to ensure test management using Vivaqua’s defined testing strategy across several strategic Business-IT projects in various domains (finance, logistics, maintenance, production, human resources, etc.).
These assignments are carried out using a range of technologies, including SAP ECC, SAP IS-U, Geode, WinDev, Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Automate, SAG, and others. The consultant will also be responsible for the implementation and administration of JIRA, Vivaqua's test management tool, following industry best practices.
In this role, the consultant will:
- Be capable of implementing a defined test strategy and testing approach for both projects and changes to the existing solution.
- Prepare integrated test plans with the support of the Project Manager, functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
- Set up and manage test execution tracking and defect management, including monitoring defect resolution.
- Define the scope and schedule of the different test phases and establish detailed test monitoring (real-time dashboards).
- Monitor the development of various test scenarios based on a project blueprint and assist in their execution when necessary.
- Track test progress against the schedule and report defects, including related risks, to the IT Project Manager and Project Steering Committee.
- Ensure that documentation and training are aligned with testing requirements.
- Verify that all affected applications and interfaces are tested to guarantee zero regression after production deployment.
- Become familiar with VIVAQUA applications (SAP ECC, SAP IS-U, etc.).
Expected Deliverables
- A testing approach and test plan for various Vivaqua SAP projects.
- A library of test scenarios (positive and negative).
- A list of acceptance criteria.
- A testing approach and testing solution.
- Reporting on test results, defects, and related actions using JIRA.
- Test execution and acceptance reports.
- Comprehensive documentation that can be reused in the future.
Enhanced JIRA Requirements (Advanced Expertise)
The Test Manager must possess advanced expertise in JIRA, including:
- Configuration and administration of JIRA projects.
- Design and optimization of workflows (conditions, validators, post-functions).
- Creation of real-time dashboards and reports for monitoring tests and defects.
- Use of test management extensions such as Xray, Zephyr, or equivalent.
- Management of permissions, screens, schemes, and notifications.
Demonstrated experience in JIRA administration is highly desirable.
Methodology Skills (ISTQB + Test Management)
An ISTQB Foundation certification is required. An ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification is considered a significant advantage.
The consultant must have strong expertise in:
- Testing methodologies (V-Model, Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Quality risk management.
- Definition and monitoring of testing KPIs.
- Establishing a structured testing governance framework.
Expected SAP-Specific Skills
The consultant must have a solid understanding of SAP ECC6 business processes, ideally in the following modules:
- FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)
- MM (Materials Management)
- SD (Sales & Distribution)
- PP (Production Planning)
In addition, the consultant must be familiar with:
- Cross-module integration testing.
- SAP interfaces, including IDoc, RFC, PI/PO, and APIs (considered an asset).
The consultant should be able to:
- Analyze an SAP blueprint.
- Identify testing impacts.
- Define relevant end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios.
Essential Soft Skills for a Senior Role
The consultant must demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to challenge both IT and business teams constructively.
- Natural leadership in coordinating testing phases.
- Strong quality orientation and documentation rigor.
- The ability to manage conflicts and arbitrate priorities.
- Full autonomy in planning and executing testing activities.
Compliance Requirements
Throughout the assignment, the consultant must comply with:
- GDPR regulations.
- ISO 27001 standards.
- NIS2 requirements.
Assignment Conditions
The selected consultant will be assigned full-time to the contract and may be required to deliver up to 440 man-days over approximately 2 years, based on a 40-hour work week during VIVAQUA business days.
Key conditions include:
- A minimum of 3 days per week on-site at VIVAQUA headquarters, potentially on a non-continuous basis, unless an explicit exemption is granted by the Head of the IT Department.
- Overtime or work outside standard office hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) is not permitted without explicit authorization from VIVAQUA.
- The consultant must take into account VIVAQUA’s service continuity requirements and project constraints when scheduling leave and must obtain prior agreement from the Contracting Authority's representative.
- The consultant must comply with the provisions of VIVAQUA’s Code of Conduct for External Service Providers.
Additional Information
The assignment may be renewed up to a maximum duration (including the initial term) of 880 working days.
