Our client is looking for a Functional Tester to join the Employee Benefits & Health Care business unit, which focuses on group insurance and healthcare solutions for employers and their employees.
Within the Business Engineering department, the team designs, develops and tests user-friendly applications that support Employee Benefits and Health Care products and services. The department works closely with IT and other internal stakeholders.
You will strengthen the Health Care Insight & Projects team, which is responsible for the applications and processes supporting the claims handling of:
- Medical Care, including hospitalisation and ambulatory care
- Income Care
Your Responsibilities
You will participate in the functional testing of projects within the Medical Care Claims and Income Care Claims roadmaps and help ensure the overall quality and stability of the applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing existing functional and application specifications
- Discussing specifications and requirements with the Business Analyst when clarification is required
- Translating specifications into an appropriate test strategy
- Preparing detailed test scenarios and test scripts
- Executing functional test scenarios
- Performing System Integration Testing and/or User Acceptance Testing
- Identifying, documenting and reporting defects to the IT department
- Monitoring and reporting on testing progress
- Executing regression tests to ensure application stability
- Informing relevant stakeholders about project progress in a structured and efficient manner
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and applications
- Collaborating closely with technical teams, business experts and end users

Required Experience
Testing Experience
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience with structured test preparation, including test strategies and test scripts
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience executing tests and reporting test results
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience analysing existing application specifications
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience with System Integration Testing and/or User Acceptance Testing
- Experience executing regression tests
- Experience documenting and reporting defects
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience using these tools in a professional environment
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of the insurance sector
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance products
- Experience with Medical Care, hospitalisation, ambulatory care or Income Care products is considered a strong asset
