Our client is looking for an experienced Senior ICT Project Manager to support operational teams in managing several successive projects involving the implementation of IT/OT solutions within a gas and electricity distribution network environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Sponsor, IT Delivery Manager, and Business Owner to monitor and drive project progress
- Define and maintain detailed project plans
- Prepare and maintain project management documentation in line with the applicable PMLC and SDLC methodologies
- Organize and chair monthly Steering Committee meetings
- Prepare Project Status Reports covering progress, planning, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and deviations
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and all activities required for successful delivery
- Plan and monitor project resources in collaboration with team leaders
- Validate reported efforts and hours worked by project team members and external parties
- Manage project scope, budget, planning, quality, risks, and issues
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks
- Provide ad-hoc reporting to management and the PMO in case of significant deviations or escalations
- Ensure compliance with the applicable project governance framework
- Work closely with the PMO throughout the complete project lifecycle
- Actively participate in PMO meetings and the broader Project and Program Management community
- Coordinate procurement and Request for Proposal processes where required
- Manage third-party suppliers, including fixed-price delivery arrangements
Project Context
The assignment covers projects related to the continued rollout and development of a Smart Grid environment.
Previous Smart Grid experience is not mandatory but is considered a strong asset. Experience with IT/OT projects in utilities, energy, infrastructure, or another operationally critical environment is also highly relevant.
Planview is used for project monitoring and portfolio reporting. Previous Planview experience is an advantage, although onboarding and training will be provided.
Mandatory Requirements
- At least five years of demonstrable experience as an ICT Project Manager
- Proven experience managing complex ICT and/or IT/OT projects
- Strong command of project management techniques and tools, including risk and issue management
- Proven experience managing project budgets, planning, scope, and quality
- Proven experience coordinating Request for Proposal processes
- Proven experience managing third-party suppliers and fixed-price engagements
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary internal and external project teams
- Experience working within structured project governance and reporting frameworks
- Perfect command of either Dutch or French
- At least a good working knowledge of the other Belgian national language
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Planview
- Experience delivering Smart Grid projects
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or network infrastructure sector
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or an equivalent qualification
- Good command of English at B2 level or higher
