Our client is looking for an experienced Solution / Data Architect to support the further development of its digital and data landscape within a complex and strategically important environment.
As a Solution / Data Architect, you will contribute to the design and evolution of strategic digital and data platforms. You will ensure that solutions remain aligned with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, governance standards and business objectives.
You will work closely with product teams, subject matter experts, solution architects, system architects, engineers and business stakeholders to define scalable and future-proof solutions that support the organisation’s data-centric transformation.
The Data Platform is based on Data Mesh principles, including domain ownership, data as a product and federated governance. It delivers data services to internal customers and enables the development of domain-oriented data products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture activities within strategic digital and data platform initiatives, from business requirements through technology implementation.
- Provide architectural guidance to product management and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with product teams to define solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
- Ensure compliance with architecture, technology, security and governance standards.
- Design solutions covering application, integration and data capabilities.
- Support Data Product Teams in defining information domains and data products.
- Contribute to the development of Transversal Data Models and Canonical Data Models.
- Lead Proofs of Concept to validate architectural decisions and technology choices.
- Support engineers and delivery teams in designing robust, scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Facilitate alignment between business requirements and technology solutions.
- Contribute to architecture and data governance principles, standards, methodologies and best practices.
- Facilitate architectural discussions and support the validation of key design decisions.
Required Experience
- Minimum six years of experience as a Solution Architect, Data Architect or in a comparable architecture role.
- Strong experience with data integration architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Deep understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns, API-based integrations and event-driven architectures.
- Strong data-modelling experience, including conceptual, logical and canonical data models.
- Experience with messaging technologies and event-driven systems.
- Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere and related technologies.
Experience in the following areas is considered an advantage:
- Metadata management, data catalogues and data-governance platforms.
- Master Data Management.
- Big Data and Data Lake architectures.
- Data Mesh architectures.
- Collibra Data Catalog.
Architecture and Methodologies
Experience with architecture frameworks, standards and methodologies such as:
- TOGAF.
- ArchiMate.
- ATAM.
- Domain-Driven Design.
- Microservices architectures.
- Event-driven systems.
Experience with architecture-modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect is an advantage.
