As a Cyber Security Specialist, Analyst you will play a key role in analyzing and mitigating security risks across our digital infrastructure. Your analytical mindset will help detect patterns, assess vulnerabilities, and develop proactive strategies to defend against evolving cyber threats in different layers of the IT organization including business priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
- Perform security assessments on web applications and APIs.
- Identify and report vulnerabilities such as:
- SQL Injection
- Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
- Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
- Clickjacking
- Advise development teams on secure coding practices.
- Collaborate and follow up on and with internal stakeholders to implement security policies and best practices.
- Optional: Conduct and analyze SCA, SAST & DAST scans.
- Analyze log data to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Develop data-driven security strategies and incident response plans.
- Investigate security incidents and perform forensic analysis.
- Advise on preventive measures based on threat intelligence and trends.
- Continuously improve monitoring and detection systems.
What You Bring
As a medior Information Security Engineer, you have at least 2-5 years of experience in proactively and reactively monitoring and remedying security breaches :
- Usually, you are part of the SOC (security operations center);
- You investigate suspicious activities and take remediating actions;
- You maintain Security Monitoring Tools to effectively secure and monitor the different systems;
- You perform penetration tests to find any flaws;
- You document, test and monitor any security breaches and assess their damage.
Next to a proven experience in IT Security, you have the following core competences : Analytical thinking, Collaborating, Customer orientation, Eager to learn, Effective communication, IT Infrastructure, Software development.

- Strong ability to interpret data and identify patterns.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and attack techniques.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash) for automation and analysis.
- Front-End & Back-End development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
- Experience with browser DevTools.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud security and log analysis (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Security Expertise:
- Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a IT technical role, ideally experience within cybersecurity, and with a focus on analysis and threat detection.
- Worked as a Security Champion for a specific technology..
Nice-to-Have
Experience with SCA, SAST, DAST, VMDR (tooling experience, application management background)
