Our client is looking for an IT Solution Lead who will serve as the technical reference within the Geospatial Product Team, bridging business requirements and technology solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Scrum Masters, suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and future-proof geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all technical aspects of the product lifecycle within the team.
- Translate and challenge business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Contribute to solution architecture and ensure compliance with enterprise, security, and technology standards.
- Coordinate with internal technical and functional teams during project delivery and operational phases.
- Provide expertise on software design, technology selection, resource planning, and budget estimation.
- Lead the implementation and configuration of geospatial platforms and products.
- Oversee the development, deployment, and support of custom-built applications, primarily based on Microsoft technologies.
- Manage the integration of off-the-shelf software solutions within the broader IT ecosystem.
- Conduct fit-gap analyses and support software evaluation, RFI/RFP, and vendor selection activities.
- Monitor suppliers, SLAs, and KPIs while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to product roadmaps, supplier management, licensing discussions, and service governance.
Required Skills & Experience
Education & Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the utilities or energy sector is considered an asset.
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in software development, integration, and solution management.
- Extensive experience with enterprise GIS platforms and geospatial technologies, including:
- ArcGIS Enterprise
- ArcGIS Online
- ArcGIS Pro
- ArcGIS APIs & SDKs
- Safe Software FME
- Knowledge of VertiGIS solutions (Studio, Integrator) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of:
- .NET
- Visual Studio
- SQL Server
- Experience with functional analysis, data modelling, and solution design.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Azure
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Cloud-native architectures
- Good knowledge of software architecture principles, security standards, compliance requirements, and IT service management practices.
