Our client has a key role in the realisation of the energy transition. Decarbonisation, decentralization, internationalisation & digitalisation are forcing us to change faster than ever before. The way we work will have to transform significantly. Several business transformation projects are ongoing, and more projects are in the pipe for the coming months / years. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the set-up and realisation of one or more business transformation projects, including the implementation of supporting digital tools.
Service expectations
The service consists of the following tasks:
- Preparing & setting-up projects, including scope definition; activity definition; budget & resource estimations; etc.
- Building strong business case to support the portfolio management
- Managing projects, including follow-up of planning, scope, resources & quality; risks & issues management; etc.
- Leading project teams so that they work together as a cohesive team, are competent and motivated in order to achieve the project objectives as planned.
- Managing the change towards business & users: implementing (harmonisation, planning, implementation, training) and mutual coordination (governance) of complex change activities with high added value in order to ensure the realisation of project objectives.
- Communicating & reporting towards SteerCo & Portfolio Management + all other stakeholders to ensure that all stakeholders have the information they need to fulfil their mission within the project.
- If applicable, selecting external partners for some project (including legal aspects, business requirements definition,…).
- Getting things done.
Additional technical information
Competences required:
- You have a master’s degree in a technical or economic field, or equivalent experience.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience as project manager and/or program manager.
- Experience with Scrum Agile, Prince2 or another project management methodology is required, experience with agile is a plus.
- You are able to deal with complex and rapid changing environment (with possible impact on the missions for which you were initially allocated)
- You are assertive, able to manage the expectations of the clients and to get things moving.
- Very good communication skills are required
- You are good at stakeholder management, including the unions, business departments (Infrastructure & others), controlling, IT & Group Innovation.
- Experience in the public sector is a plus.
- Experience in the energy sector or within an “infrastructure engineering & construction” environment is a plus.
- You have an affinity with digitalisation, business analysis, change management & IT.
- You are flexible, positive, passionate and pro-active.
- You can manage and motivate a project team.
- You can organise and plan well (including organising decision-making processes).
Languages:
- Fluent in French or Dutch. You understand the second language.
- Fluent in English
