Our client has a key role in the realisation of the energy transition. Decarbonisation, decentralization, internationalisation & digitalisation are forcing us to change faster than ever before. The way we work will have to transform significantly. Several business transformation projects are ongoing, and more projects are in the pipe for the coming months / years.
Most of these transformation projects contain a (large) digital component, as the new way of working often has to be supported by digital tools. To ensure the quality of these tools, testing is required at different levels.
In addition to traditional testing, as we work more and more agile, test automation is increasingly important in order to allow the required regression testing to manage multiple releases.
Service expectations
The service consists of the following tasks :
- Define the test plan: review business requirements, if needed clarify content with the business analyst and write the test plan
- Elaborate test scenarios: based on the test plan and the business requirements detail the test scenarios and test cases
- Prepare test data: make sure that the required test environments are available, connected and contain (sufficiently) synchronized datasets. If needed request data refreshes or create artificial test data
- Execute tests: execute the test cases and document the results
- Follow-up defects: log defects and monitor their solution
- Test automation: after each release implement the relevant set of automated test cases
